Reading a Thousand Lives

I'm a goodreads refugee. I read horror, classics, literary, science fiction, YA, weird, regency romances, historical fiction, history, science, fantasy and random bits and pieces of every genre, it seems like. I don't do as much reading and reviewing as I used to, but I'm trying to get back into the swing of things.

Matters of Mortology - T.M. Camp I got this through goodreads giveaways, thanks! There are well rounded and fascinating characters contained in the pages of this novella. The main character is in seclusion from all women of "bearing-age" due to the fact he's the caretaker of the village dead, and is thought to be able to corrupt them.It all starts going down hill when Mason's dog turns up dead in the cemetery, and a foreigner's grave is robbed. His sister who he hasn't seen in over ten years and makes his meals falls in love with a mysterious suitor who sings to her outside her window...The caretaker's friend, Burke, a self proclaimed intellect and a used shop owner has a few ideas about what's going on at the cemetery.Delightfully creepy with well written characters, this is the way vampires should be written--classically.
