I'm a goodreads refugee. I read horror, classics, literary, science fiction, YA, weird, regency romances, historical fiction, history, science, fantasy and random bits and pieces of every genre, it seems like. I don't do as much reading and reviewing as I used to, but I'm trying to get back into the swing of things.
I started out the year by starting Maria Snyder's Study series, with Poison Study, which I adored, and it set a good pace for the rest of the year. I also caught up with Kristen Britain's Green Rider series (with the 4th book being a bit of a disappointment), and started George R.R. Martin's A Song of Ice and Fire series. This year Margaret Atwood released the last book in her MaddAddam series, which was heartbreaking in many ways for me.
I also had three YA books that really surprised me and that I really liked: And All the Stars, These Broken Stars, and Cracked.
It was a rather slow year for reading for me, I had a lot of personal issues getting in the way and I was very restless with my reading and it was hard for me to focus, but I'm looking forward to picking up all those books I just didn't get to this year.
Happy New Years everyone!
